58. Sea Treasure

This weekend my sisters and I went snorkeling by the reefs. It's one of our favorite activities to do at home. We collect these tiny little sea biscuits - they're dead sea urchins. They're already white, but sometimes they have a yellowish tone to them so we soak them in bleach for a while to get them even more pristine looking. Sometimes we just put them in glass jars around the house and sometimes we make things with them. For example, last time we collected this many, my sister Lily used them to make a picture frame. She took an old frame and hot glued them around it and put a picture of our family in it. One of the best things about being home is all the crafts we do. My mom is one of the most creative and crafty people I know. We also get sucked into her little projects and end up loving them. Our house is filled with paintings, drawings, and creations from my family. It's super special. I hope to one day fill my home with creativity and art from my children like my mom did with us.
